Sustainability

ZERO-WASTE FASHION
We're always looking at ways to improve our sustainability and reduce our impact on the Earth. So, we've made a few changes here at Pretty Sassy Lady HQ and are moving towards zero-waste fashion manufacturing.
Not only is our swimwear slow fashion, made from sustainable fabrics, with UK made collections, we're moving towards zero-waste manufacturing, which means some of our collections are custom-made just for you.
Custom-Made Collections
We've introduced custom made collections meaning we will never over produce our clothing, and continue to create less waste than conventional manufacturing. Reducing the need for over-produced garments ending up in landfills. We only produce what you want to buy and wear.
High-Quality Sustainable Fabrics
Our swimwear is made from high-quality sustainable fabrics, meaning they'll last longer. Here's what they include:
Italian fabrics containing ECONYL® yarn, a 100% regenerated nylon fibre made from waste that would otherwise pollute the Earth such as fishing nets. It can be recycled infinitely! No waste. No new resources.
And high quality REPREVE® recycled polyester, made from plastic bottles - keeping them out of landfills and oceans.
We Plant Trees!
For every order placed on our site, we will plant a mangrove tree in Madagascar. Trees are planted by Eden Reforestation Projects.
We contribute a percentage of each sale towards tree planting because reforestation efforts revive natural habitats, improve coral reef health, support local livelihoods and aid in the fight against climate change by extracting CO2 from the air.
UK Made - Lower Carbon Footprint
Many of our swimwear collections are locally manufactured in the UK under safe, socially responsible working conditions. Locally manufactured means our carbon footprint is lower, as our swimwear doesn't have to travel very far to reach our HQ. Less travel means lower carbon emissions.
Recycled and Recyclable Packaging
All swimwear is delivered in eco-friendly, recycled and recyclable packaging.
We’re a small UK business making small changes, but we start as we mean to go on.
